Federal Blue Covered 7 Ring Canteen & Sling – Contract Marked – SOLD

Federal Blue Covered 7 Ring Canteen & Sling – Contract Marked.  This “Bullseye” canteen with blue wool cover was made by John H. Rohrman, of Philadelphia as marked on the pewter spout. The cover is showing much usage, with wear and staining  to wool on both sides. The original linen strap is still attached with two old repairs where the sling was tied in a knot near a sling guide.  The stopper has a remnant of heavy string tied to the ring, which would have been attached to one of the sling guides.

Still has a great old look, and in the desirable blue cover.
