This calling card was made for Lieutenant H.B. Gurler, who at the time of this printed work, was 86 years of age. He was from DeKalb, Illinois. He is photographed in his Civil War uniform.
The only reference I can find is for a George H., so was the printing on card incorrect, or did the regiment have his name wrong. I believe this is the man in question. As to rank, needs for research.
