Description
Nearly identical to the officer’s pattern garrison cap, this general officer’s version has a band of blue velvet added with the gold embroidered federal eagle applied directly over it and the cap body.
Made by H.V. Allien & Co., 734 Broadway, New York. The cap show very little wear, light toning to the bullion components, and small typical storage marks on the visor. There is a partial sizing label (6 7/8).
Hard to find a better example.
