Same printed form document sent to Africa Maden, to appear at Milbury, Mass., armed and equipped, etc, and to elect a captain, in place of Capt. Peter Corbett…signed at Milford, 28th Sept. 1832, signed by Joel Ruthand. Has a decorative printed border.

Interesting first name, and don’t know if he was African- American or not. He is listed in the militia from Milford in 1839, and married; a farmer by trade. His son Amos was killed at Gettysburg. From the History Of Milford, Ma.
