Description
Medals, Shooting Badges, French City Souvenirs For A WWI Marine.
The grouping belonged to Luther L.O. Knox, USMC. The group consists of:
- USMC Good Conduct Medal, “No. 9858 / (name) / 1st ENLISTMENT / 1915-1919.” Some wear to ribbon on lower fold.
- USMC Expeditionary Campaign Medal, M.No. 9681.
- USMC Dominican Campaign Medal, 952.
- WWI Victory Medal.
- Expert Rifleman Badge, early two piece construction, pin back with open catch.
- Pistol Expert Badge, Crossed Colt ACPs, pin back with safety style catch.
- WWI EGA Bronze finish cap/ helmet insignia, screw back with thumb screw.
- 6 bronze finish French made souvenir pins, mostly with town/ city names. Letters and cross of Lorraine appear to be gold.
I have not done any research on Knox.
Overall condition is very good – fine.
