Description
Military Uniform Plate – Laight’s Guard Flank Co, 75th NYSM 1834. I believe this to be a hand colored print mounted on board, showing the dress uniform for a sergeant and private of the Flank Co. 75th New York Infantry -Laight’s Guard. Very similar style coatee to the U.S. regulation 1832 coatee. The “stove pipe” shako are embellished with a fabulous eagle insignia. Note the winged shoulder tabs being worn by the private.
Published by R.F. Fraser, New York.
10.5 x 13.5 inches. Board is 1 1/16th thick.
Very good condition with some chipping at the lower right corner only.
A much earlier print than the other listed.
Mike McAfee Collection.
