This grouping of material belonged to a career Air Force officer, Colonel Harold Jack Brennecke (1930 – 2012).  Served in the USAF from July 1953 to August 1980. He had made colonel as of 1973.  His separation document (copy) says he was an Air Operations officer Armament Systems, Pilot Transport (C-97, C114, C-141, C-5); Air Operations Pilot Staff Officer, and more….see photo of document provided.

Decorations and other medals: (See photo of document).  Decorations: Meritorious Service Medal 2 olc, Air Medal 10 alc, Air Force Commendation Medal, Silver Star Medal, Air Force Unit Citation Medal – 3 olc, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award -6 olc.  (these by date).

The grouping consists of his miniature medals – two bars suspending a total of 10 medals (not his last one), 4 rows of ribbon bars;  Command pilot shirt wings (KREW Silver filled), embroidered command pilot wings, patches for (3rd Airlift Sqd., Military Airlife Com’d, and a Communication patch.);  Name tag with LtCol rank; and US -Vietnamese flags from plaque.

Included is a copy of his separation document giving details of units, commands, medals, etc.

Have not found out much on the Colonel other than what is in the document.  He was from Texas, and buried in the Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Condition overall is fine +.
