Original Section of Trans-Atlantic Telegraph Cable – SOLD

Original Section of Trans-Atlantic Telegraph Cable.  Laid down in 1858 in a joint venture between the United States, and Great Britain.  Has it’s original paper label, “Old Atlantic Cable.”

This is a 4 inch section with two brass retaining slides around many strands of wire.
