Description
Pattern of 1902 and change over effective by July 1903, these collar eagles replaced the “US” for only a two year period. It was to be worn 1inch from the forward edge of the collar, along with branch insignia in its normal placement. Worn on the undress coat (pattern 1895).
This pair has a nice rich gilt finish although the photo does show this clearly. These are the sew on types.
32mm at the widest.
Condition is excellent.
In WWI General Pershing adopted these for war when he became General of the Armies.
