Description

TCQC Pocket Hanger – Distinguished M 3 Crew / 1st Bn 1st Cav,  (TCQC- Tank Crew Qualification Course).  Painted metal insignia with crossed sabers on gold 8 point star.  Red and white background with gold accents.  German made pin mounted on leather. No hallmark.

The practice of using these patches began in Germany during the 1960s to early 1980s, but was banned by the army, and this type of a badge was assimilated into the existing marksmanship badges program.
