U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier Landing Signal Panels, most likely made onboard the carrier.  I have seen a few of these over the years in photos, and one other offered for sale on the internet some time back for more money than I am asking for here.

These are made of materials that would most likely be available on any ship at that period, other than the satin panels.  It is comprised of gold and pink satin fabric, wood grips crudely fashions or possibly re-used from some other item, aluminum tubing is 5/16″ diameter, and steel wire to hold the panels in place.

The panels are re-enforced alone the edge that is connected to the aluminum frame, and the panels show use and soiling as well as even fading of color as you can image for the type of conditions these were used under.

As stated, these are very scarce items.  They are 15 inches high.

Great WWII carrier display items.
