A rare insignia worn only at Yale beginning before WWI.
This stamped brass and subdued artillery insignia was made for the Yale Artillery Battalion, formed before America entered WWI, by a USMA graduate, which would later form the basis of the ROTC program there during WWI.
The insignia 2 1/4 inches long, and is pin back. I have to assume it was used as collar insignia.
No markings, and in fine condition.
