WWII Theater Made Military Police Aluminum Vehicle Plaque SOLD

Description

This recently came out of an old WWII collection with several other theater made plaques and other items in aluminum.  This one, although will made, and finished with raised lettering and painted was crudely poured, probably from Aircraft aluminum, never in short supply.

Overall height is 8 inches, painted with copper paint, with gold lettering. A large slot in the lower portion was probably for mounting on the bumper of either a jeep or truck, etc.

I don’t have any information on the unit that used it.
