Description
CDV – View Of The Steamboat “Northwest.”
View of the Steamboat “Northwest,” built in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1863, and later moved to St. Louis. The images shows a great deal of activity on decks, with soldiers and civilians alike, while freight cars, wagons and the like fill the foreground. Her name board is clearly visible on the paddle housing.
The information on the reverse mentions that the Northwest disappears of the steamboat lists in 1868, probably another victim to the Mississippi River.
Very good condition.
