Finely Engraved Canteen For A WWII Navy “Seabee” S.R. Mendel.
Mendell used this 1918 dated M1910 canteen made by Landers, Frary & Clark. The front of the canteen is nearly covered with the official insignia of the Navy Construction Battalions; crossed fouled anchors, broken with a wreath of rope, and the Seabee insignia of the bee with a machine gun, and tools. His name is finely engraved below in block letters.
A few dings, and aged toning, otherwise in very good condition, and a great piece of trench art decoration for this WWII Seabee.
Included is a WWII fully embroidered Seabee patch.
