A very nice 35 star U.S. flag with great color, and very nice condition. Measures 4.2 feet x 7.4 feet. All hand sewn. Grommets on the hoist are original to the period if anyone has that question. The inked name “C. Hahn” is penned at the lower part of the canvas hoist. I have no information on him.

There is very minimal damage, some minor wear. The largest area in question is being pointed at.

Americana in its truest form, this 35 star flag was flown during the Civil War from July 4, 1863 (West Virginia) to July 4, 1864 (Nevada), and used through to the end of the war in April of 1865.
