1850 Receipt For One Can of Varnish Sold To Henry W Leman, (For Gunstocks).

The receipt was issued by Jacob Witmer & Son, Philadelphia, PA.

Jacob (1794- 1869), and his son Samuel (1823-1866), ran a grocery store on Market St. Philadelphia.

He was selling varnish to Henry E. Leman, gunsmith, for use on his gunstocks.

Condition is used, on a smaller piece of paper.  Showing wear, use, folding.
