CDV – Confederate Cavalry General JEB Stuart. This famous image of James Ewell Brown Stewart shows him seated while gripping his saber, with plumed slouch hat on his lap. This is wartime pirated image by an unknown photographer, thus the image is not as sharp if taken from a period negative.  There is a U.S. Revenue Stamp on the back with initialed cancel by “B & Co, June 21, 1863, the date representing a period of the beginning Gettysburg Campaign by Gen. R.E. Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia.

Weak but quite discernible with a tiny ink dot on each eye.
