Description
The pattern 1902 dress uniform for enlisted men was suspended during World War One, and I’m not sure how wide spread issue was after that; I see little in photography after WW1. The coat was made by Ridabock, Company, New York, dated 1921, with their label on the outside of breast pocket, and the white cotton collar is also marked to the same maker. Buttons are the 1912 pattern.
The coat has the issue dress aiguillette and collar insignia for artillery. Below the crossed cannon field artillery insignia are attached DUIs. The insignia has the 2nd Division Indian on star, I can’t make out much more that it is so small. Scarce insignia I would think,
Fine condition; a tear from right shoulder button downward a few inches, Not cut all the way through and very hard to see. A few tiny moth holes, and again not easily seen. The collar is soiled. I do not see a name for the soldier.
