Description
1904 1st Class Field Artillery Gunner’s Badge, with typical markings on back, “Battery / Field Artillery No.” Only traces of original finish remains on the front, more on the reverse side. These badges came out the year after the CAC 1st Class Gunner’s badge was adopted for use. The Field Artillery used the CAC type for the first year, but dissatisfaction with the CAC type brought about the field artillery pattern.
Pin back. 42mm long.
Made at Rock Island Arsenal.
