Description
This company grade officer’s full dress cap made by Jacob Reed’s Sons, Philadelphia, is a nice example of fine bullion workmanship, displaying a high relief eagle. Interesting that this officer chose to use the old pattern 1902 rimless eagle side buttons.
The bullion chinstrap, and other trim shows normal age toning. The blue wool body is fine with little if any problems to mention. A fairly clean interior, but showing wear, with sweatband is coming loose (see pictures) on part of one side.
