2nd Mass. Artillery Ordnance Return for Enfield Rifled Musket Ammunition – 1864. A form document for Co. A, 2nd Massachusetts Artillery (Heavy) for the month of October 31, 1864. This return shows a requisition made for 21500 rounds of Enfield elongated ball cartridges in the .577 caliber.
Signed by the company commander, (looks like) E.L. Kimball, Captain. A good reference to the arms this unit was carrying during the Civil War.
Some staining otherwise very good.
