Admiral Dewey – Painted Iron Federal Shield

Admiral Dewey – Painted cast iron Federal shield, with gold trim, stars and letters.  Approximately 6 inches high. I believe this to be part of a larger piece of Dewey memorabilia, whether it is one of a kind or not, I’ve never seen one.  Was it for a patriotic parade float, a simple wall plaque, or from a United Spanish War Veterans post?

Was held in place by the use of two screws. Some paint loss, with toning, but overall in very good condition.

It has a great look for a center piece of an Admiral Dewey souvenir collection.
