Description

Electricians were among the most skilled men in the army, trained in civilian life and sought after to perform the duties required in the newly established Artillery Corps, soon to be the Coast Artillery Corps. The number of men in this grade at this time was very small, doubtful if there were more than 30 men.

The stamped brass gilt wreath held five forked lightening bolts in silver finish.  It has a screw back post with thumb nut, and two small stabilizing pins for attaching to the cap.

65mm wide.

Condition is excellent- unissued.

From the Robert Borrell Artillery Collection.
