Description
This is a gorgeous pair of shoulder knots for the 1880 pattern artillery officer’s uniform coat. There is no maker marking on these, but the condition is there with bright gilt bullion cording and well executed silver bullion colonel’s eagles on red wool.
The buttons however are for an infantry officer, off of a Civil War era pair of epaulets. These could be replacements or quite correct. I’ve seen too many things that don’t meet regulations, but yet fit into the soldiers need. Regardless, these are great for display and in most cases would not be noticed until under close inspection by the knowledgeable.
Excellent condition with some residue on the backside wool.
Super!
