Description

Civil War Era Pipe.  The bowl is made from a section of a limb of a tree (approximately 3 inches oblong), with bark left on,  The top of the bowl is rounded. A reddish stain was used on exposed wood on the bowl  The stem is from another 1 inch branch with bark left on, and a mouthpiece fastened/ carved for 3 1/2 inches from tip down.  3 copper rivets, the type used on federal equipment during the Civil War era, are embedded into the bark of the stem, and apparently do no more than act as some decoration.

1 foot in length.

Well used, and in very good condition.  Great look for a display.

No history unfortunately.
