Civil War Waist Belt & Buckle Made By E. Metzger. A bridle leather belt maker and sub inspector markings. Large 1839 oval belt plate with “puppy paws” mounts. The leather shows honest use, with other holes for waist adjustments. Still has the brass keeper. Overall wear, with the right collector look.
Nice example of a wartime used belt and buckle.
