D-DAY Trench Art Ashtray -“NORMANDY BEACHEAD JUNE 1944.” Made from 3-IN MKII M2 Shell dated 1943.
Shell cut to 1 7/8 inches with four applied cross sections of .50 caliber shells for cigarette holders. A .50 cal. machine gun cartridge screws in place at center; The Info on the shell is punch decorated, on the crude side. Absolutely original!.
A great trench art souvenir from the D-Day Invasion.
