Description
Dug Musket Balls & Gun Flints.
These items were found at a recent site in Western Massachusetts, and have no other information to share as it is still revealing little treasures.
The caliber of the lead ball is approximately 62 caliber in present condition and probably made for a .69 caliber musket. The iron shot is approximately the same size. I see no casting marks.
The smaller flint is 3/4 inch wide and most likely used with pistol, and the other medium sized one is 7/8 inch.
Flints are always good for those empty jaws.
