Description
Gettysburg Veterans Medal -1863. Made of bronze, and issued by New York State in 1893 to its veterans who fought there. The medal has the seal of the state on the front, and on the reverse has the New York monument. The wording around the seal on front reads, “DEDICATION OF STATE MONUMENTS AT GETTYSBURG JULY 1.2.3. 1863 NEW YORK DAY.”
The pin brooch reads, “JULY / 1863 / GETTYSBURG VETERAN.”
