Description

At the time of his enlistment into the U.S. Army, Everett F. Morey, was a British citizen working in Cleveland, Ohio, apparently had family ties there, having attended high school in Cleveland as well.  Morey enlisted on 28 October, 1944, and after training at Fort Knox, Ky, he departed for the ETO as a Tech 5 in the 759th Tank Destroyer Battalion, later attached to the 4th Cavalry Group, and arrived in theater 11 May, 1945.  At the time of his discharge in July of 1946, his unit designation was Headquarters Troop 4th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron (4th Constabulary Regiment).

The grouping consists of his identified Ike jacket, trousers, overseas caps, insignia, dog tags, ID bracelet, papers (both military and civilian which include his Naturalization papers to become a US citizen), photos, manuals, pocket sized note pads from training days, filled with notes on tanks, armored vehicles, etc.,and more; so please look at the material in the photos, and I won’t bore you with a long description.

Condition overall is fine or better, with many items identified and or described (photos).

The Ike jacket has a theater modified armor patch with hand sewn “759” on it, a theater made 4th Cav. patch; two sets of German DUIs, (1st Sgt. chevrons may be theater made), OS overseas cap is TM as well.  The qualification badges are both STERLING. Morey’s wrist bracelet is Sterling as well.

There is some correspondence from a friend and pilot in the RAF.

A great cross section of material.  Although not a combat veteran, very nice uniform components, and military history to go with it.

Reasonably priced for the amount of material.

The Shirt and Tie are not included.
