Description

These are shoulder knots worn on the uniform of a light artillery officer in the Civil War-early Indian Wars period, and are a variant with a more rounded contour.

Approximately 6 inches in length.  The artillery officer “A” buttons are held in place by pipe cleaners pieces; once held in place by laces that would be used to attach this end to the shoulder. The original tie laces are still attached to the lower ends.  The underside, and the underlying red wool is in very good condition with some slight mothing to the undersides.  The gold bullion shows some toning, but overall these knots are in very good -fine condition.
