Description

REGULATIONS For The ARMY OF THE UNITED STATES, Approved By The President Of The United States, And Ordered For “The Government Of All Concerned,” On The 1st May, 1861; With An APPENDDIX, Giving Regulations In Conformity With Laws, Etc. Of The State Of New York.   ALBANY:  WEED, PARSONS & CO., PRINTERS.   Hard covers, with black embossed cloth, 531 pages.

Period ink identification establishing use by the “Colonel, 19th Regt N.Y.S. Volunteers,” written in the inside front cover.

I believe this regiment was recruited in the Albany area to serve for two years, but were redesignated the 3rd Light Artillery. The two colonels named on the 19th roster were, John S. Clarke, and James H. Ledlie.

The book is in very good condition showing use, but tight and not too worn on spine and corners.
