Mid 18th Century Austrian Telescope.

The classic shape of the18th century telescope with octagon tube made in mahogany, and all brass mounting.  Single draw made in four sections. Both ends have sliding brass doors to protect lenses.

Optics are fine.

Overall length closed, 13 1/8 inches.

Fully extended, 22 inches.

Tube has a minor few age cracks that is hardly noticeable, and a few small dings.

Great display piece from the French and Indian -American Revolutionary War eras.

A nice looking Austrian telescope with the classic octagon tube, that could very well have been used in America in the 18th Century.
