Description
Military Uniform Plate – 7th Regiment – National Guard New York 1850s.
Similar to another listed, except this on is not mounted on board. Once matted, with traces of glue remaining beyond the top border, this fine chromolitho plate shows all the uniform worn by the 7th Regiment, with all the individuals named below the illustration. Although this is not dated, it must be from the late 1850s as a mounted officer in the background is wearing an 1858 style forage cap.
The color is great, and most suitable for framing or simply for reference as is.
11 x 14 inches.
Published by Otto Boetticher, Broadway, New York City.
Very good condition.
