Description

MVM 1st Infantry Enameled Pin. I have seen other insignia in photographs from the last quarter of the 19th Century. It is a small square badge with red, white and blue enamel, with gilt “1”, on a gilt brass base.  Worn on the uniform breast by use of 4 prongs.

No hallmarks.

20mm approximate.

Excellent condition without flaw.
