No. 2 Hagner Cartridge Pouch.  Leather cartridge belt, issued during the early Indian Wars era, to carry 24 .50/70 cartridges.  Faint marking on the back “No.2.”  Has a compartment for a combination tool on the right side of box. Canvas loops are in fine condition, leather show wear, having been issued for service. Light crazing to leather, more heavier on the flap strap. Stamped with an oval “US” on the flap.

This is the original pattern, unmodified, as many were.
