Description
This group of three items are all from various gatherings of veterans of the 22nd Pennsylvania Cavalry. The large ribbon is 7 inches long of yellow silk with black lettering, and the pin bar is a heavy brass plate with blue enameling; the numbers and letters are false embroidered and applied. This ribbon was given out at the 1913, 50th Anniversary of the Gettysburg battle.
The two strand ribbon with celluloid pin brooch is 6 inches high, and from the 1905 33rd Annual Reunion at Monongahela City, Pa. The ribbon mentions they were known as the “Ringgold Battalion.”
A real photo post card also from the 1913 Gettysburg reunion shows a group of 22nd Pa. veterans, and a notation on the reverse with Col. Greenfield at center.
All are fine condition.
