6th plate tintype of a Union Private with a Colt revolver In his belt.
This seated view of a private in full dress frock coat, wearing his waist belt, bayonet in scabbard has a Colt pocket revolver tucked into his belt. His shoulder scales and belt buckle have been enhanced with applied gilt. Tinting to table cover beside him.
Light crackling to emulsion on surface of image, and a few light bends. Photographs well.
Very good condition, has hole drilled through gilt mat and image.
