China Marine’s Fleet Marine Force Ring- Chinese chop marks with Imperial Dragons.
This WWII era silver ring was made in China, and has chop marks on the inside. The insignia for the Fleet Marine Force- Pac is a separate piece and brazed on the flat surface of the ring, most likely the ring is a stock pattern used then the appropriate insignia, etc. applied per customer needs. The insignia was enameled with the various colors used with that patch. Imperial Chinese dragons are on both sides (each side the same).
I have no history on this piece, it having come from an accumulated collection.
Show wear on the top, some of the enamel looked like it was chip out on the top area, but under close inspection, it is just a poor job of enameling, and those areas are just sunken and showing age.
The ring was sized down for a woman’s finger.
I would think a rather scarce and desirable ring for a China Marine.
