Description

A fine quality winter wool service dress coat made by “Jockey Club, Paris” with the label sewn at the back collar area. The coat is unnamed, but worn by a 2nd Lieutenant of field artillery attached to the 2nd Army. American made collar bronzed finished collar brass, are the pin-on types, rank insignia is gold bullion embroidered on darker OD wool panels. All of the button might be French made, both coat and cuff size are two piece tin backed and blank.

The 2nd Army patch is made in two colors, sewn onto OD blanket wool with the base trimmed with rounded corners. a red felt on OD discharge stripe, and one overseas chevron in bullion at the cuff.  A WWI Victory ribbon sans campaign star(s).

Overall condition condition is fine-excellent with light wear mostly on the collar brass.

I added the Sam Browne belt; these AEF officer’s coats look naked without them. The belt is in fine condition, and lacking sword hanger, pouches etc.
