WWI Era U.S. Navy Officer’s White Cover – With Fabulous Embroidered Eagle. This sweet Pre-WWI era officers cover was sold by Horstmann, Philadelphia. A well worn cap with soiled sweatband, but a nice condition piece of headgear. The embroidered eagle is made in high relief, with the federal shield popping out dramatically. Gold & Silver bullion shows toning, as does the chinstrap, but little wear at all. White cotton cover lightly soiled.
A great example.
